The Monthly Sunday Spruces are carried out throughout the year, with the exception of July and August (Holiday season). This year we tried a different approach by holding the Spruces in different areas of the village, we then relocated to Wrenthorpe Park and Meadows and are now continuing to use this as our base to work out from. The sessions proved very popular and were well attended by volunteers. We have now got a good army of ‘Wrenthorpe Wombles’ who are out and about on a daily basis collecting litter and keeping the village tidy, a massive big thank you to you all!
In April 2023 we were awarded a Civic Society Environmental award for our Sunday Spruces keeping Wrenthorpe village and park clean and tidy.
